Jeff Cease

Jeff Cease is an American musician best known as the guitarist for the alternative rock band The Georgia Satellites. Formed in 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia, The Georgia Satellites gained prominence in the late 1980s, blending rock, Southern rock, and roots rock influences. Cease contributed significantly to the band’s signature sound, characterized by catchy riffs and a gritty, energetic style. The band's most notable work includes the hit single "Keep Your Hands to Yourself," which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986 and is considered a classic of the genre. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1986, also received critical acclaim and commercial success, solidifying their place in the rock scene of that era. Although Cease left The Georgia Satellites in 1990, his contributions helped shape the band’s identity and influence the Southern rock revival of the late 1980s.
